Sue Fellman Jacobs, historian, is the author of a 360 page volume, HISTORY OF JOANNA FURNACE 1791-1999: History of a Berks County, PA, Charcoal Iron Furnace. Joanna Furnace is two miles from Morgantown on the Berks, Lancaster, and Chester Counties border. Named for a spirited Joanna Holland Potts, wife of one of the four original owners, Samuel Potts.
